The George Thorby Big Band was formed by George in 1952 and has been working constantly since then to the present day. Over the years the personnel in the band has changed many times over, but two of the original line up of the band, Ronnie Findon (Saxophone & Clarinet) and Gordon Rushton (Trombone)still feature regularly with the band.
